About Me
I’m Emily, a freelance copywriter with varied experience in the digital marketing and legal cannabis industries. I have worked for a wide variety of clients across a diverse selection of sectors, including retail, hospitality, law, health and medical.
After three years of employment with a digital marketing agency, I decided to take a new step in my career – offering high-level copywriting and content services on a freelance basis. Since 2022, I have worked with clients to deliver high-quality content across a range of topics and industries.

Since transitioning to a freelance copywriter in 2022, I have worked with clients from a variety of industries, including health and medicine, CBD and wellness, and construction and manufacturing. I continue to deliver high-quality content, including blog posts and articles, website content, and more!

Digital Marketing Copywriter - Omni Digital Marketing
During my time as the Copywriter at Omni, I was responsible for creating a range of content marketing materials for a large number of clients at any one time. In this role, I was responsible for the management of my own projects and deadlines, while collaborating with other members of the team to deliver high-quality services to every client.
My typical day involved writing blog posts, email and social media copy, press releases, and website content for several clients.
2019-2022
Head of Content - Canex
Having started out as the sole writer for Canex – a cannabis and alternative medicine news website – I was eventually promoted to the role of Editor. In this position, I continued to contribute regular articles while editing the articles of both in-house and contributing writers. I was also the co-host of the Canex podcast: Not That High.
Interests
In addition to writing, my passion is design. I have an interest in Interior Design that I am pursuing in my spare time through the study of an online course, with the view of eventually merging these two passions. Prior to my pervious employment, I also attended voluntary work experience at a local magazine to learn more about publication design and feature writing.
I also enjoy reading, spending time with my cats, and trying out new arts and crafts hobbies.
